FFAME ALIGNS WITH HEALTH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, and other ACADEMIC STANDARDS
Saturday, 21 November 2009 00:00

Prior to the development of FFAME’s Health Curriculum we analyzed a collection of National, State, and Provincial health standards. One thing that we noticed as we evaluated these various standards was that although the format and the wording may have been slightly different the content and topics being covered were all alike. Whether you live in California, Arkansas, or Ontario the issues of obesity, bullying, fitness, nutrition, disease, drugs, human anatomy, hygiene, disease, safety, and much more are a constant.

Extraordinary Health Begins with Desire and Purpose
Sunday, 01 November 2009 00:00
People regularly ask us (David, Joe, and Dr. Daniels) for recommendations on health, fitness, and wellness.  Instead of giving advice we like to ask them questions to test their current knowledge and stimulate a thought process on the subject of health.  The first question we ask is, “What do you think are the key success factors in a wellness program?”   The most common answers we receive are exercise, eat a well balanced diet, setting goals, join a gym, low fat, low-carbs, drink lots of water, etc.  These are all excellent answers.  However, in our opinion, the most crucial aspect is something we seldom hear.  In order to achieve ultimate success you must truly have a desire to change.  A significant purpose will then fuel that desire - and in the end - you must have enough faith in yourself to follow through on the necessary steps to victory.

Key factor for EXTRAORDINARY health
Saturday, 17 October 2009 00:00
jlAt FFAME we believe that CONSISTENT EXERCISE, WELL-BALANCED NUTRITION, and LIVING DRUG FREE are the three most important factors in achieving extraordinary health.

We share the sentiments of the Grandfather of the Modern Day Fitness Revolution Jack LaLanne, who said, “Exercise is King, nutrition is Queen, put them together and you’ve got a kingdom.”

We feel that consistent exercise is King (notice the word CONSISTENT – meaning weekly – before exercise) because in our observations people who are going to take the time to exercise consistently a few times each week are also more conscience of what goes in there body in terms of food. People who exercise consistently are also less likely to partake of cigarettes and other harmful drugs.

What do you think?
